What Is Performance Taping?
What is involved
Performance Tape is placed over muscles following a functional evaluation, in a manner to either increase or decrease muscle activation. The intention is to optimise motor recruitment and improve the quality of movement in a specific region.
Why it works
Performance Taping works by affecting the specialised nerve receptors of the skin and the underlying fascia through gentle tugging action during movement. This results in normalisation of motor function and improves quality of movement.
